Boy, have I had a lot of summer projects lately, but this latest one’s going to outlast the season (and definitely the year)! I’ve got several announcements coming up before summer’s end, but here’s the one that debut’s August 1st, 2025.

I’m excited to announce that beginning the first of August, I’ll be launching Inklings Publishings’ official blog, Inklings Scribbles! Before I get too ahead of myself, let me introduce who exactly is Inklings Publishing.

Inklings Publishing is a small press armed with a passionate goal to create opportunities for authors interested in publishing their work, attending workshops, retreats and building dynamic writing careers at minimal expense. As stated on their site, Inklings publishing selects the work they most want to read!

I have a long-lasting relationship with Inklings Publishing—nine years, in fact. This small press means a great deal to me. I began with Inklings Publishing as an intern eager to learn about the ins-and-outs of how the publishing world, and publishing one’s writing, worked. When my internship ended, the press hired me as a jack of all trades employee who got to try her hand at developmental editing, graphic and web design, managing marketing campaigns. The list went on! It was through Inklings Publishing that I discovered my knack for graphic and web design—a skill that eventually led to the creation of my freelance business, Bookish Promotions. Fast forward several more years and here I am completing the final touches before I launch the company’s official blog on their behalf!

Inklings Scribbles will post four times a month, delivering announcements on Inklings Publishings’ contests, launch parties, open submissions, pre-order dates and publications. Readers can also look forward to weekly Q&A submissions for the press and writing prompts for much needed inspiration.

I’m honored to be launching this latest project on behalf of a near-decade partner that gave me a chance and believed in my writing. It’s a humbling moment that’s taught me to appreciate the importance of connections and the weight they carry—not just for making your way through the industry, but for having the right people to surround yourself with as you move forward in your writing journey. Join me August 1st, 2025 for the official launch of Inklings Scribbles, can't wait to see you there!
