In case you haven't heard, this month I'll be on the "Book Reviews & Bloggers Q&A" panel at Indiepalooza! I've worked with small publishers local to Texas for several years now and, not surprisingly, writing book reviews are often part of the job. Sometimes I reviewed books my clients were publishing, sometimes my clients connected me to other publishing companies in need of book reviews. Like manuscripts, there's a general template publishers prefer for book reviews. The overall structure varies from publisher to publisher, but I've constructed a template that tailors to publisher guidelines I've regularly encountered. So the next time you're reviewing a book for a publishing company or posting to your blog, you'll be writing reviews like a professional.
